We're honored to be recognized by the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities as one of 30 organizations receiving funding to expand healthcare services for New Yorkers with developmental disabilities.

This $1.34 million investment will allow Metro Community Health Centers to expand our dental program by adding same-day and emergency appointments, while also supporting the development of an on-site pharmacy and other enhancements to better serve our patients and community.

Thank you to Governor Kathy Hochul, Commissioner Willow Baer, and OPWDD for their commitment to improving health equity across New York State. This week, we were honored to welcome New York State OPWDD Commissioner Willow Baer to Metro Community Health Centers' Bronx Health Center, where she officially presented Metro with our $1.3 million OPWDD grant award.

Commissioner Baer spent time with our patients, staff, leadership, and community partners, hearing firsthand how this investment will strengthen access to care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their stories served as a powerful reminder of why this work matters and the impact this funding will have for years to come.

This grant will support the expansion of Metro's dental and behavioral health services, helping us provide even greater access to high-quality, compassionate care for the communities we proudly serve.

Thank you to Commissioner Baer and OPWDD for your partnership and commitment to improving healthcare access across New York. We are grateful for this investment and excited for what lie#mchcny.#OPWDDC#bronxW#CommunityHealthnityHealth
